Microsoft Windows 11

I have a 2 month old HP desktop PC with Windows 11.  I have an older printer - an HP Envy 7155.  After Windows 11 automatically installed updates to my operating system overnight, my HP Envy 7155 printer stopped working.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times the HP printer and driver.  Nada.  I am disgusted because the Envy works but not with the Windows 11 updated operating system.  Both corporations are screwing consumers over from one end to the other.  I'm sure HP would say it is Microsoft's fault and Microsoft would say go to HP.  Thanks to both of these corporate blood drainers, I'll probably have to buy a new printer this week and I'm extremely busy.  It has caused my husband and I enormous inconvenience this weekend, as we use the printer for both home and professional uses such as writing and submitting articles - PRINTED articles we need to proof offline.  I have spent about 3 hours of my precious time and life this weekend troubleshooting these problems created by corporate greed non-think-tankers who deliberately do not cooperate with each other to sort out these problems before installing their troublesome, bug-ridden updates - they just eff the public over by building in redundancy features into their technologies so printers and computers will not cooperate when these updates occur - so even though I have an HP computer and a relatively recent HP printer, it doesn't matter.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand that after Windows 11 update you are unable to print, I am glad to assist you.

This seems to be a driver issue, follow these steps to fix the issue.

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
