Are there any non-wireless printers out there?

I bought a printer for my daughter who went off to college. A few days later we had to return it because it requires an Internet connection to set it up and print. She's just printing from her pc to the printer. No network is involved here. When I checked the requirements afterward it said "internet required". I checked around and found many other printers, all seeming to require some kind of network access. Are there any basic plug and play printers left out there?

Monochrome the M404 will work without requiring internet. Most of the lower end products are going to require an internet connection as services like Instant Ink do not work without a connection.

Alas, I don't care about the Instant Ink service. If it runs low, I go to the store and get more ink. Shame that only the monochrome will do so. I will have to look at other brands.

There are color printers as well. I have tagged the moderators to get someone with HP to weigh in.
