Welcome to the HP support community.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

hello, sorry do disturb you during chrismast week-end

my printer was online and automatique update flash a bad firmware to my  officejet pro 8720

before, product number was  D9L19A  namad 8720 serial number CN66DDK0YP, all was workink fine

but now, Number name CB023A serial:not change but now HP Officejet pro 8500 A909G, all bug at the end blue screen, dark screan with flashing button, resart, after ink problem, impossible to use the printer

i have try some resset as OBO reset, SEMI FULL reset, FULL RESET, nothing works

this update put my printer out of order, my motherboard is dead with this firmware flash inside i think, now, 953XL cartrige are detected as faulty or non genuine, so i can't use none off new cartrige

i think it's the hp fallt, hp is guilty to all my problems, but now you do you think i can solve and repair my printer, she is like brand new, only 2000 print so setup cartridje plus 953XL cartrige witch where not empty when all happen. i am very disapointed untill all my problems and i don't think i will buy another HP printer, because after waranty, no help from hp france, website is made to sell some service and not to help customers.

i wish you can help me as you are an hp support agent and give some help to drive me to the good way

I am sure that HP has deliberately injected this firmware into certain printers, in order to trigger a series of failures, and a new purchase movement towards a new printer, because it happened two weeks before Christmas
I think that I will diffuse this information at the French level on the sites of consumer protection so that all the people who had this problem unite against HP to obtain repair

I would like you to send my apologies to people who can take charge of my problem, and solve it before I feel obligated to disclose this matter which will tarnish the image of HP.

thanks for your help , if you can
