HP OfficeJet 3831
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When trying to change my default printer settings so that I can print in colour, I can't find any option to change the default colour settings and so I narrowed down he problem to the fact my computer says there is no automatic duplexing unit installed. On forums it said to simply select installed from the drop down menu but my drop down menu is greyed out and it just says not installed. I'm operating on windows 10 so that might be a problem?

Hi,

The HP Officejet 3831 printer does not offer any Automatic Duplex capabilities, only manual duplex support is offered.

You may find its specifications below, see the Paper handling section

Duplex printing
Manual (driver support provided)

To manually print on both sides print your pages, open the Printing Preferences pane and click the Advanced button.

Set Pages to Print as Print Odd Pages Only and press OK, then print your pages.

Reload the printed pages faced down to the input tray, then print the job again by selecting Print Even Pages Only to print its other side.
