I have an HP LaserJet Pro MFP M281 and an MFP M280, and when I install HP Smart, I get a blue tint when printing. I have used various settings, but without result. I am using the original HP toner. I never had this problem before. How can I solve this?

I have already reset everything to factory settings once, there is no difference.

In other words, the print does not correspond at all with the image.

Who can help me???????

OK -

Based on your response, I believe I misunderstood the context of the question.

If printing same grade photos worked in the past using HP Smart,

After the printer has been cleaned,

Then

Yes, in my opinion,

Given photos of an equal quality, using the same application, settings and supported paper, the print operation should work and not result in blue-tinted prints.

Having cleaned the printer is as much as I can suggest.

Perhaps one of our LaserJet experts can help.

@Repairatrooper

Any advice for a solution?

Photo printing (using HP Smart or not) that worked in the past is resulting in a blue tinted image print.

Cleaning the printer was suggested and presumed to have been completed.

TIA.

Welcome to the HP English Community --

The word "image" included in your message indicates (to me that) you are printing Photos / Images using HP Smart

and

When using the application, your printed images include a blue-tint.

Standard Troubleshooting - Make sure the printer is doing its best work...

HP Color LaserJet Pro M280 Printers - Fixing Poor Print Quality

Next,

If you believe the blue-tint is a result of the HP Smart application, you can adjust the app's color settings as you wish it done.

HP Smart - Windows - Scan > IMPORT your saved image file

In the Preview, select to Edit the imported image

Select "Adjust

Color adjustments might be done for each of the categories listed.

When "Done",

Select your next option Print, Save, Share, Shortcuts, or Mobile Fax (as available)

Example - HP Smart - Windows - Scan > Import > Edit

What else?

Windows /  Microsoft Photos also provides a similar "Adjust" Editing feature.

It's really nice that there are opportunities to correct, but everything worked well in the past. Now I have to take out all sorts of tricks to print a perfect photo. Ridiculous. I pay a lot for original toner and a decent HP printer, and then they come up with something like this. It's just so convenient.

Thank you for your response. The printer has been cleaned, but it's very strange that 2 identical printers have the same problem. I will try to ask the question again at @Repairatrooper.

It's a shame that you don't receive a response and can't turn to HP for good advice.

No worries - Common mistake.

Some of the responses we receive are far less polite.  Smiling.

I might have missed something -- my specialties lie elsewhere.

We do, in fact, have a few HP agents that work in the HP Community.

HP Community Agents are few and there are thousands of questions in the Community each month --

That said, while not directly connected to HP Support proper, HP Community Agents do have access and tools beyond what is available to Experts and members.

Ask your question in a new post -- perhaps one of the HP Community Agents will be able answer.
