We bought a new 2024 Dell laptop running Windows 11 in S mode. The Windows 11 software has a bug in the HP laserjet M15w driver. When you print to the HP M14 laserjet the print queue shows 'printing 3 of 1, error' and the print job hangs in the print queue. The only way to remove the print job is to remove and readd the M15w printer to Windows. Note, since I am in the wonderful world of S mode, I downloaded and ran the 'HP app' from the Microsoft store. It appears to be worthless in repairing the driver, ie the bug is still in the driver. I have used the Diagnosis ( wrench ) in the HP Smart app ( from MS store) with the HP laserjet usb and network attached and in both cases it returns 'error Diagnosis results 'driver check issue not fixed ' What next ?
Note, on my NON S mode Windows 11 machine, I fixed the driver via installing the 'Basic_Webpack_x64-46.4.2644-LJM14-M17_UWL_Basicx64_Webpack ' software from the HP website. Well, is it Time to leave S mode ?

S-Mode allows updates to drivers through the windows update or the microsoft store.
Bring up the device manager, locate your printer and try requesting an update to the driver.
if that does not work then
To get out of S mode refer to the this article
I would avoid switching an operating system from S to normal mode unless you have an image backup to recovery to. Last year a user tried upgrading from 10 to 11 the weekend before his thesis was due and the upgrade failed badly.
