This printer doesn't have the options listed below.  You have to select 8  Network Setup, 3- Advanced Setup and then you have 2 options - 1. Set Link Speed & 2..IP Setting.  When I select IP Settings, there are another 2 options- Automatic and Manual.  When I select Automatic, nothing happens.  When I select Manual and input what I believe to be the IP address of my network it allows me to input it but it doesn't keep it.  I am at a loss and just trying to determine if this printer is even wireless before I continue to spend time trouble shooting.  I can't find it anywhere I've searched on the net.

 

I did notice that some printers have HP Officejet 6500 and HP Officejet 6500 Wireless.  If it doesn't have the wireless does that mean it's not wireless.

What is the exact model of the printer you are using?

To know how to find the model/product number of the printer, refer to this document.

 

HP Officejet 6500 (E709a) All-in-One Printer is a NON-Wireless model and HP Officejet 6500 (E709n) is a Wireless All-in-One Printer. You can refer to the printer specifications here.
