I have an HP Deskjet 3760, not used it for a while but always been difficult to setup. Can't get wifi connection going at all, just flashing. Connected directly to USB port. Installed HP Smart, setup printer. Printer installed, says ready. When I try to print, will come back with an Error - unable to print 'document name'. When looking at status in Control panel, shows Driver error. Tried to download new driver but keeps telling me to install HP Smart which will update driver. Reinstalled but still not working. Please help!

Hello @Rosie-P1 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Here's what you need to do:
- Disconnect printer/scanner from computer- Disable WLAN, WiFi and/or remove the USB or LAN cable.- Do not switch off the printer >> unplug the power cord from the socket!
- Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list.
and uninstall HP Smart! - Restart the PC
- Close all programs
- download only this complete package: HP DeskJet and Ink Advantage 3700 All-in-One EasyStart Printer Setup Software – Offline Use Only
- Close all programs
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the EXE,
File name: HPEasyStart-13.6.5-DJ3700_40_16_1234_1_Webpack.exe (173.5 MB)
Via USB, means wait until the installation asks to connect the printer/scanner. - The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
- Restart the System again
- Now the installation is complete.
Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.
I hope this helps.
Kind Regards
