3758 Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 3758 printer hooked up to my laptop and all works fine. But I don't really want to print copies of my documents; I want to convert them to PDF format.

Is there a way to retrieve scan files from the printer rather than printing them?

I guess I'm really asking if the 3758 can be used as a scanner.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thank you for your query to HP forum. I will try my best to help you.

when you select print,  you can click the Printer selectionn button and choose adobe PDF, then click print, it will save as PDF file instead of print it through printer

Thank you, but I'm not sure you understand.

I am not trying to print a document from my laptop.

I want to:

1. Scan the document on the 3758 printer.

2. Move the scan file from the printer to my laptop.

3. Then I can print it as PDF.

But first I have to get it from the 3758 onto my laptop.

can you tell me the steps to do that with that software?

Hi Peterinwa

you can download the s/w first and install it.

After that you can see the s/w HP scan in your app list.

run the s/w you can scan from printer via the hp scan software.

Thanks

Hi peterinwa ,

Once, you have installed the full SW as what 小熊牛牛 instructed you.

You may refer to below link on how to use the printer scanner and perform scan using HP Scan application.

Hope this helps!
