Envy 5010
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a new HP 5010 printer. I want to be able to access this from my desktop, and I want other devices in the house to access it wirelessly.

I run Win10 on a desktop. The desktop does not have a wireless adaptor card, but is hard-wired to the nearby router.

When I try to run the HP installation software, the first thing it says is to change my PC-to-network connection from ethernet to wireless. I can't, there is no wireless adaptor in the PC.

Consequently the desktop cannot find the printer to set it up.

If I connect the printer to the desktop by USB cable, it is recognised instantly by the desktop, but there is no opportunity to also connect the printer to the router so that other devices can access it wirelessly.

Completely stuck. Would be grateful for a description of what I should be doing, please, if anyone can help.

Seem to have got round it myself by using the printer's own display functions. Had to work it out myself though.  Not that impressed by the lack of setup instructions! The only written guidance in the box is to use 123.hp.com, and that gets you nowhere in my situation.
