Hi @StefShaz,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Product. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to the issue.

It sounds like you're encountering some connectivity and reset issues with your HP Smart Tank Plus 559 printer. Let’s go through the steps to help resolve this:

1. Unplug and Power Cycle the Printer

  • Unplug the printer from the power source.
  • Wait about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and try turning it on again. This can help resolve any temporary connection issues.

2. Factory Reset the Printer

You can try a factory reset to clear any settings that may have been causing the issue:

  • Step 1: With the printer powered on, locate the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer.
  • Step 2: Press and hold both the Wireless and Cancel buttons at the same time for about 5-10 seconds until the wireless light starts blinking or the printer starts to reset.
  • Step 3: Wait for the reset process to complete, then try reconnecting the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

3. Reinstall Printer Software

Once the printer has reset, you can reinstall the necessary software:

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers and software for your printer model.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software, and during the setup process, choose to connect the printer via Wi-Fi.

4. Check for Connectivity Issues

If the printer still doesn't connect:

  • Check Wi-Fi Settings: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is working and the printer is within range of your router.
  • Wi-Fi Direct or Setup Mode: You may need to use Wi-Fi Direct or WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) if standard Wi-Fi setup isn't working.

5. HP Smart App

  • Install or open the HP Smart App on your smartphone or computer to help set up and manage the printer.
  • Try adding the printer again through the app. If the app doesn’t recognize it, try restarting the app and ensuring the device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
