HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer

Hello community,

I'm getting an error during the initial set up of my new OfficeJet Pro 9125e:

Print System Problem

CMYK

Remove the indicated cartridges and examine them for leaks. If any

I've removed/installed the cartridges, turned it off waited 30s, pressed the power button for 15s, etc but to avail. I can't even get beyond the set up to get the menus. What's the solution here?

Hi @xanyar,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering a "Cartridge Leak" error during the setup of your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e, here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

1. Inspect the Cartridges

  • Check for Leaks: Carefully examine each cartridge for any signs of ink leakage or damage. If any cartridge appears to be leaking, it may need to be replaced.
  • Remove Protective Tape: Ensure that any protective tape or plastic seals on the cartridges have been completely removed before installation.

2. Reinstall Cartridges

  • Remove and Reseat: Turn off the printer, remove the cartridges, and then carefully reinstall them to ensure they are seated properly.
  • Ensure Proper Orientation: Make sure each cartridge is installed in the correct slot (e.g., black in the black slot, color in the color slot).

3. Clean the Contacts

  • Gently wipe the copper contacts on both the cartridges and inside the printer with a lint-free cloth. This can help improve the connection.

4. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 5 minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.

5. Try a Different Set of Cartridges

  • If possible, try using a different set of ink cartridges to see if the error persists. This will help determine if the issue lies with the cartridges themselves.

6. Reset the Printer to Factory Settings

  • If you can access the printer’s menu, you may consider resetting the printer to factory settings. Check the manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
