Hi @Lucile2

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for laying out the details so clearly — that helps a lot. If your HP DeskJet 2755e prints slowly only from Chrome OS, while other browsers or platforms work fine, it’s likely a Chrome-specific rendering or driver issue, not a printer hardware fault.

Here’s a tailored fix-it plan:

1. Use the System Print Dialog Instead of Chrome’s

  • When printing from Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + P to open the system print dialog.
  • This bypasses Chrome’s built-in print preview, which can sometimes lag with certain printer drivers.

2. Disable Advanced Print Features

  • Go to chrome://settings/printing (type it into Chrome’s address bar).
  • Disable any advanced print features like “Print with system dialog” or “Print using cloud services” if enabled.
  • Restart Chrome and try printing again.

3. Update Chrome OS

  • Go to Settings > About Chrome OS > Check for updates.
  • Chrome updates often include printing performance fixes.

4. Try Printing from Google Docs or Drive

  • If you’re printing from a webpage, try copying the content into Google Docs and printing from there.
  • This can help isolate whether the issue is with Chrome’s rendering engine or the printer interface.

5. Use HP Print for Chrome Extension

If none of these help, let me know:

  • What type of content you’re printing (PDF, webpage, form)?
  • Whether the delay happens before printing starts or during the actual print?

We’ll dig deeper if needed — I’ve got your back.
