Product: HP Color LaserJet CP5225dn
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to verify if there is a newer firmware available for an HP Color LaserJet CP5225dn than datecode 20140619.  I have already been to the software & drivers page for this device (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-color-laserjet-professional-cp5225-printer-serie...) and no firmware updates of any kind were listed but the manual (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01624544) suggests that this device can be upgraded.

 

Reason I want to upgrade the firmware is to hopefully take advantage of SNMPv3 and hopeing a newer firmware would make this available.

Hi,

20140619 is the latest firmware version for your printer, there is no newer version.

 

From its description those are the fixes:

  • Added SNMP objects enabling for IPv6 (DHCPv6) and SLP

You may find its specifications below, it supports SNMPv1 only:

 

Network protocols
Via built-in networking solution: TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6; print: TCP-IP port 9100 Direct Mode, LPD (raw queue support only), Web Services Printing; discovery: SLP, Bonjour, 
Web Services Discovery; IP Config: IPv4 (BootP, DHCP, AutoIP, Manual), IPv6 (Stateless Link-Local and via Router, Stateful via DHCPv6); management: 
SNMPv1, HTTP
