Hi @Disappointed32,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Restart Devices:

  • Printer: Turn off the Envy 6100e, unplug the power cord, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn on the printer.
  • Computer: Restart the computer to refresh the system.

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that both the printer and the computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network if you're using a wireless setup.
  • You can also try connecting your printer via a USB cable to isolate if the issue is with the network.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Go to the HP Support page and download the latest drivers and software for your HP Envy 6100e printer.
  • Install any new updates and restart your computer if necessary.

Run Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Open Windows Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Select "Printer" and run the troubleshooter to detect and fix issues automatically.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Sometimes, missing Windows updates can cause compatibility issues. Ensure your Windows OS is up to date by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Remove and Re-add the Printer:

  • Go to Devices and Printers on your computer.
  • Right-click the HP Envy 6100e and select "Remove device."
  • Add the printer again by selecting "Add a printer" and following the instructions.

Antivirus or Firewall Settings:

  • Check if your antivirus or firewall settings are blocking the printer or related services. Temporarily disable any third-party antivirus software and try printing again.

I hope this helps.
