Connect to laptop

I cannot get my laptop to connect to my hp 6100e series printer. No problem with iphone, connected easily,  but cannot connect apple laptop. Ideas?

Let's try a few steps to get your HP 6100e series printer connected to your Apple laptop (macbook):

Check Network Connection: Ensure both your laptop and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
 

Install HP Smart App: Download and install the HP Smart app from the App Store. This app can help with setup and troubleshooting.

Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can do this through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP Support page.

Add Printer Manually:

• Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
• Click the + button to add a printer.
• Select your HP 6100e series printer from the list.

Reset Network Settings: On your printer, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore Network Defaults. Then reconnect the printer to your network.

Use Wi-Fi Direct: If the above steps don't work, try using Wi-Fi Direct to connect your laptop directly to the printer without using the router.
