HP deskjet D4260
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my 2008 HP deskjet D4260 solution center has been replace with a box with an f (for facebook) and an i (maybe for information) but it stops there and I can't get back to the Solution Center or get any further on the white f/i box. It's been this way since HP update 20.80.3.8529 on Jan 15, 2021. I know that HP no longer supports the D4260 but it was working fine prior to the update. Now I can't do any management of the printer.

Hi,

The HP Solution Center uses Flash, and Flash end of life occurred, therefore the solution center no longer work.

Please check below TKB on this matter:

Thanks for a simple explanation. The link explains how to work around but dang, for a non-techie that's a lot of gibberish. I'll try it very carefully. Can't figure out how to give you a thumbs up but you deserve it! Now I wonder what other surprises I'm going to come on in connection with this. Come on, HP. It might also make current HP products users hesitant to buy HP again.

This was a good solution except that I can't get the Flash Player anymore. Guess it's time for a new printer.
