HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have deinstalled my old (already gone) printer using HP Smart app. Whenever I now start my computer, the following error message occurs:

"Problem beim Starten von C:\Program Files\HP\HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z\bin\HPStatusBL.dll Das angegebene Modul wurde nicht gefunden."

"Problem with starting C:\Program Files\HP\HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z\bin\HPStatusBL.dll The module wasn't found."

I'm not able to find a solution for this issue online and I'm also not able to find any related system who is trying to start the .dll file.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Heppi

Hi @Heppi,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for contacting HP Support. We understand you’re seeing a startup error related to the HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z after uninstalling the printer using the HP Smart app. Specifically, you are receiving the following error:

"Problem with starting C:\Program Files\hp\hp Officejet 6500 E710n-z\bin\HPStatusBL.dll – The module wasn't found."

This message appears to be caused by a leftover startup entry that is attempting to launch a file which no longer exists.

Fix: Remove the Invalid Startup Entry

Option 1: Use Task Manager

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  2. Go to the Startup tab.
  3. Look for any entry related to HP Officejet 6500 or HPStatusBL.dll.
  4. If found, right-click it and choose Disable.

Option 2: Use Autoruns (More Thorough)

  1. Download Autoruns for Windows from Microsoft:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns
  2. Run it as Administrator.
  3. In the Everything tab, search for HPStatusBL.dll.
  4. If found, uncheck the entry to disable it or right-click > Delete to remove it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
