I cannot print any files on my laptop. The printer is connected with a USB, it shows it is connected and I can check its status with HP Utility. When I click the print button, everything seems normal and its shows ready to print and it was not paused or anything, the printer just won't start to work.
I tried to scan and copy and they all worked so it was not the USB's problem or low of ink. I then tried to deleted all HP related softwares and reinstalled them again, still the same promblem.
It shows printing is enabled but nothing prints out (there were enough paper in the tray, the printer screen shows number 0 which indicates there's no job waiting but on my laptop it shows ready to print), scan function works normally.
It was weird that when I was trying everthing out there was a step asking if I want to align the ink categories, I clicked yes and that page was printed successfully.
I'm using a Macbook Pro with High Sierra 10.13.6, the printer always worked normally until today. We also tried with my girlfriend's Macbook (OS X EI Capitan 10.11.6) and it has the same problem, can scan but cannot print, jobs just stay in list. We recalled that this happened with her Mac few months ago but at that time we thought it was her USB interface so we changed to print things from my Mac, until today.
So what else should I try to solve the problem?

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.
MKazi is at your service.
I understand that your HP DeskJet 3630 All-in-One Printer does not print via a USB connection form your Mac computer. Fabulous diagnostics, spectacular analysis of the issue by you. Kudos to you for that. You have done a remarkable job in troubleshooting this issue.
The fact that the printer is able to scan and make a copy indicates that this is not a hardware related issue. This appears to be a drivers issue.
I suggest you to removes and add the printer as Airprint on your Mac computer. The following steps will help:
Step 1: Remove multiple printers from the printer list
Check for multiple devices in the Printers list, and then remove any extra entries other than one in idle status.
-
Search the Mac for Print, and then click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners in the list of results.
-
Find the printer names that match your printer from the list of devices.

-
If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button
at the bottom of the list. Leave one 'idle' printer in the list that matches your printer if available and use this printer as the Default printer.
-
Try printing again.
-
If the printer prints, you can stop troubleshooting.
-
If the printer remains offline or displays an error, continue to the next step.
-
Step 2: Delete the existing print queue and add the printer
Remove the printer queue from the list of printers, and then add it again. Doing so creates a new printing session.
-
Make sure your Mac is connected to the Internet.
-
In the Printers list, click your HP printer, and then click the Minus button
to delete it.
-
Click the Add button
.
-
Find and select the name of your printer from the Printer list, and then click Add to add your printer. Do not select an HP Fax driver.
NOTE: If your printer does not display in the list, make sure the printer is connected, turned on, has power, and is ready to print.
