All of a sudden, my printer is saying Driver Unavailable. I've disconnected and reconnected it several times but cannot get it to print. Now, my daughter cannot use it with her computer either. It's a brand new printer. Only had it 4 months and hardly used.

I have had the same issue for weeks now. Tried everything that I could think of, as well as did research to try to find a solution and nothing works. We are using a HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 Series. The printer works on one computer, the driver that it shows that it is using is HP OfficeJet 8020 Pro Series - PCL-3. I can not find a download for this driver.

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Restart the PC again.
Download and install printer full feature driver
Click here to download the driver.
I hope that helps.

This might require remote access of the computer to fix the issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
I hope that helps.

I have been pleased with this printer. Recently scan option stopped working, but printer worked. Tried to uninstall and reinstall drivers to get scan to work. Now printer doesn't work. My computer recognizes printer but says Driver not Available.

I have the same problem and have repeatedly tried the above steps to no avail. I would like to talk with HP support. However, the link above does not allow me to fill out a form for creating a case number, as there is no "Show Options" link. Instead, I am just directed to the HP Virtual Agent (which is useless) or to Messenger chat. Is there no way to open a case now?
