During the initial setup of my 7301 printer, I loaded all inks as instructed, then closed the lid.  Black is showing not installed.  Also, the Printhead Cartridge will not move to the center so that I can install the printheads.

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

On the Tank window, can you see if the black ink has been filled in the tank?  Also, were the inks in the bottle filled totally or just partially?  

 

Once the inks are filled, make sure to close the Ink access door for a minute before opening it again, the carriage should nmmove out to the center for installation of printheads.

The Tank window shows the black ink full.   The ink in the bottles were full when I unbox the printer and unwrapped the plastic wrap that was around each bottle.

If the tank is filled, ink access door closed and the carriage is still not moving out for Printhead installation, let's try a reset to factory defaults:

After performing a factory reset. The issue remains.  Black ink icon on display is blinking and HP Smart application says that there is not enough ink to print check display to see which one.
