Hi,

Tried hard reset. No luck.
Tried to update firmware per your instructions but printer is inoperable, screen is just stuck on error message with all lights flashing alternately. Printer does not show up on laptop/home network presumably due to this issue (was working fine until this suddenly happened) so no way to update via laptop. Help?
Warranty expired just a couple of months ago. Won't pay to repair it's a $60 printer on Amazon not worth it.
I would have just added this question to the posts already out there with this same issue but I guess they're closed to new replies/comments after a certain amount of time. Your customer help set up is really backwards.

@burgesspj I wasn't expecting this level of details, that said, going by your experience, and the fact that you've already done all possible steps I would have asked you to perform, yet the issue persists, we may have to get the printer repaired/replaced, however, since you aren't interested in that, I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.
They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.
Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.
Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
