HP DeskJet 2842e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi everyone, I just bought an HP Deskjet 2842e printer and when I set it up it shows me the Error Code: UA_400_EB000U0004.

Then it tells me that the printer is associated with another account.

I would really appreciate any help you could give me to correct the error, thank you.

Hi @AdrianU,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code UA_400_EB000U0004 typically indicates that the printer is already associated with another HP account. To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps.

Check Account Association:

  • Ensure that the printer is not already linked to another HP account. You may need to contact the seller or previous owner to unlink the printer from their account.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a factory reset on the printer. You can usually find this option in the printer’s settings menu. Refer to the printer's manual for specific instructions on how to perform a reset.

Reconfigure the Printer:

  • After resetting, try setting up the printer again from scratch. Make sure to follow the setup instructions carefully and use the HP Smart app to guide you through the process.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
