It seems that HP has finally rolled out updates to the printer drivers that solve this problem. Check here to see if your printer has a driver that's been updated after October 23rd, 2020. Hopefully that will do the trick.

In case you have not seen it, there is a firmware update now for the LaserJet CP1025nw. My printer now works with Catalina.
I did have to remove the previous files, and add the printer using the AirPrint.

HP OFFICEJET 7612 - same message. Was working great using WiFi connection. Then BOOM! All printing is failing, it is very frustrating that there is no assistance on this issue. I have deleted all driver software and reinstalled. Before I reinstalled I just plugged in printed with USB and it worked but would not work again today and insisted I install the driver software again. Now it's refusing to print again. I've wasted a lot of time. What have they done ???
