I have the OfficeJet 8702. I've searched through the list of the old firmware packages from the link you left and couldn't find anything from my model of printer. Did I miss it or is there another directory with older firmware?

Looks like a mod deleted the links, maybe it's not allowed. I added them back to page 2, but in case they get removed again, you can google "ldproducts firmware-downgrade" and it's the first result.
