Now I will go to a shop and buy a new printer. I need to print and cannot just rely that old printer would pair up with the Win10.
Thanks for your effort, DungLe. 🙂

Appreicate the comment here, however, if you do not have a USB 2.0 on your computer, and only have USB 3.0 ports, you CANNOT get older HP printers to work with them. They are incompatible, and HP does not seem interested in fixing the problem (or can't).

Hi GreyL,
I read MrRobot’s post help Matvay and problem USB 3.0 port solved. You can try at:
Then, if your printer still not work, retry all steps uninstall then reinstall driver in my NEW post at:
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/queue-document/m-p/6499411#M334800
Note: Steps from 12 to 14.
Hope this helps.

I have recently had good results applying the following procedure using this printer and Windows 10 running on Lenovo ThinkPad:
1. Uninstall the current printer drivers.
2. Reboot the computer.
Windows installed the latest driver during the reboot and the printer works perfectly.

Hi Pazeth,
I not sure, but lastest firmware is dated 20141201 (file ljp2050_Series_FW_Update_20141201_signed.exe)
You try download and update for Windows 7 (64 bit) at:
Hope this helps.

Sorry I confused firmware and driver in my previous message.
I previously updated my firmware successfully using the file Dungleviet67 recommended. This update advanced my firmware datecode from 20091203 to 20141201, enabled additional functionality such as the RFU option and increased available memory from 334 MB to 364 MB.
Good luck with this.
