I just purchased a new HP OfficeJet 4650 (I'm and HP Printer guy), and am very happy with my purchase. I print and scan a lot, but I primarily scan documents to PDF for archiving. When I try to 'Save to PDF', everything works fine, no error messages or anything, but the button in the lower left corner of the software for adding a page is grayed out. I have tried changing settings, and yes the "save as separate pages" check box is unchecked, but I can't seem to get that button to not be gray. Very frustrating. Any ideas?

Hi,
From the HP Scan software set the Resolution as 300 DPI or lower (if the resolution is not shown press More > and you will find the resolution there).
Press the disk icon to save the changes and press Scan, the plus button should now become available.

Thank you, thank you , thank you!!
There is no mention of this on any of the directions for adding pages. It just says select the + button. Mine doesn't even have a button if I don't lower the DPI to 300.
Take care!

I don't share the excitement of other users. Why in the world would HP limit the resolution of multiple page documents to 300ppi or less. I Just got a 8028 from Costco to replace a Canon. The only thing still keeping me from returning is the print quality. My old ant not so fancy Canon would scan from the document feeder at 1200 ppi and scan as many pages as I wanted. By the was the max resolution I get from the auto feeder here is 300.!!!
Disk space has become so cheap and I find this limitation ridiculous. Hopefully I am not the only one.
Thanks
