@bobo5949, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
When the HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer displays a blinking purple light along with paper and information lights, this typically indicates an issue during Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) or related connection problems. Here are the steps to resolve this issue:
Steps to Troubleshoot:
Wi-Fi Setup Mode:
- The blinking purple light often means that the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode. Ensure you have opened the HP Smart app or your printer software to complete the setup. Check that your device is attempting to connect with the correct credentials.
Check Paper Tray:
- If the paper light is active, verify that paper is properly loaded in the tray.
- Ensure there is no paper jam. Clear any paper jam if necessary by following the instructions to remove jammed paper safely.
Check Access Doors:
- Make sure that all access doors on the printer are securely closed.
Information Light:
- If the information light is active, this may indicate a specific status or a need to confirm a setup step. Press the Information button to print out a status or instruction report for further guidance.
Cancel WPS Attempt:
- If the Wi-Fi setup attempt has expired, you will need to initiate the setup process again.
- Press the Cancel button to clear the current setup attempt if applicable, then resubmit your Wi-Fi setup request using either WPS or manual input in the app.
