I'm trying to install an HP 2742e. It says not to use the USB for set up. However, I"m having difficulty when I try to get the computer to find my new device. I'm told to press the Info button and the WiFi button at the same time and 2 reports will print out, one of which is supposed to be my IP address, but when I do that, I only get one page that prints a WPS PIN that is only valid for 120 seconds. I've tried entering that number in the box but it's not was is needed.

How else can I get that IP Address for my new printer?

Thanks for your help!

Update: I believe I found my IP address. When I enter that into the box, it tells me it can't find my device. Should I just connect with a USB cord and try that way, even though it says not to. I'm very frustrated at this point.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
