Hello Resolv_S,

thanks for the answer.

I already tried the link you suggested, but unfortunately without success.
I tried it on other 2 PCs with Windows 10 version 1607, both Professional and Enterprise and confirm that the printer is not seen.
In particular on the USB devices I have "unknown USB device".

At this point I think the only option is an upgrade from HP driver.

Many thanks

Hi@umbtaf,

Thanks for the response.

Then, we shall try to troubleshoot the USB root hubs (USB drivers) and check if that helps you fix the issue.

Use the steps provided below to uninstall the drivers and restart the PC to check if the solution worked.

To disable and re-enable the USB root, follow these steps:

  • Click Start, and then click Run.
  • In the Open box, type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK. Device Manager opens.
  • Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
  • Note You might have to scroll down the list to find this item.
  • Right-click the affected USB Root Hub, and then click Uninstall to remove it.
  • Restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically scan for hardware changes and reinstall all the USB root hubs that you uninstalled.
  • After the computer restarts, check whether the problem is resolved. If this method resolved the problem, you are finished.

Hope the information shared will help you. Please share for more.

Hi Resolv_S,

I already tried to disable and re-enable the USB root, but without success.
Today I connected the printer to another PC where the first version of Windows 10 was installed with working drivers. After upgrading to Windows 10 1607 version,  the printer is no longer seen by the operating system.
For this I can say with certainty that the failure is due to an update of Windows 10 1607 version.

I hope that HP engineers can update the printer drivers to ensure they work with Windows 10 version 1607.

Thanks

Hi@umbtaf,

Thanks for the response.

I believe, if we try performing the Microsoft System Restore back to the earlier date which is well before the Windows 10 update, that should fix the issue.

I request you to follow the link below to perform the system restore on the PCs.

Hi Resolv_S,

I already made the System Restore but without success.
With Windows 10 you have no way to choose the updates that are automatically installed.

I formatted the PC for 6 times in the last 15 days. Now that I found that drivers need to be updated, I will wait a few months. If they'll not be updated, I'll buy another printer, not HP.

Many thanks

Hi@umbtaf,

Thanks for the response.

You may try the driver below and check if that helps you fix the issue.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL29199/al-109119-2/DJ_AIO_06_F2400_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_140...

If this doesn’t do any good, you will have to wait till a next update is released.

I shall forward this issue to the concerned team to have checked and possibly come up with a workaround.

Hope this helps you fix the issue. Let me know for more.

Advance New Year wishes to you.

Happy Holidays.

Hello Resolv_S,

the link you already sent me last December 20 and after installing the PC didn't see by the printer.

I'll wait for an update of the printer driver.

Thank you very much for your time and I wish you a happy new year.

Hello All,

I just wanted to share I've decided to upgrade to the newest Windows 10 Build 1607 [OS Build 14393.693] and the drivers from the site that I installed are still working for this edition.

Here is a video for all to view of my version and success still since the upgrade from 1511 to 1607:

Just want to confirm the driver I've installed previously updated/working  from this thread is still working with my new Windows 10 OS Build 1607!
