Good Morning, I have an old Deskjet F380 that I want to print to via USB but cannot seem to get it connect. I have the driver downloaded and when I send the test page it just sits in the Queue. I have it checked as my default and tried unplugging and restarting. Any Suggestions?

Try these steps:
Verify USB Connection
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
- Try using a different USB cable to rule out any cable issues.
- Connect the USB cable to another USB port on your computer.
Restart Print Spooler Service
- Open Services:
- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type services.msc and press Enter.
- Restart Print Spooler:
- Locate the "Print Spooler" service in the list.
- Right-click on it and select Restart.
Reinstall Printer Driver
- Uninstall Old Driver:
- Open Control Panel.
- Go to Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on the F380 printer and select Remove device.
- Follow prompts to uninstall the driver.
- Reinstall Driver:
- Download the latest driver for HP Deskjet F380 from the HP Support website.
- Follow the installation instructions and reconnect the printer via USB when prompted.
Update Printer Firmware
Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.
Check for Windows Updates
- Ensure your operating system is up to date. Sometimes, missing system updates can cause compatibility issues.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security.
- Click on Check for updates.
