Hello, I have a LaserJet printer M1217 nfw MFP. I just upgraded my Mac OS software from "Mojave" to "Monterrey 12.5.1.
I had been using the "HP Director" to scan documents, a feature included with the printer.
While I can still print documents, the HP Director is no longer working with the software update to Mac Monterrey; and, therefore I can no longer scan documents. I checked the HP site and spent some time with an HP support rep on the phone. We could not find any solution to allow me to scan documents with the Mac Os Monterrey 12.5.1 Wondering if anyone has a solution to this issue?

Hi,
The HP Director software is not supported on Monterey, it was officially supported on Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and not on any later OS version.
Please try following the Resolution section below, I believe this should help:
Following the installation you should be able to scan using Image Capture or from Printers & Scanners, or with the HP Easy Scan app, available from the Mac App Store.

Thank you for the information. My printer Laserjet M1217 nfw was not on the list. I did try HP Support and, although the rep tried hard to find a solution, the scanning feature just no longer works...this old printer still prints well though.

Hi @ElliottM13,
Have you actually tried going through the suggested steps? The printer is surely included in the list, as part of the M1210 Series:
