Product: Envy 4520
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

I'm just about to spend a small fortune on a new iMac with the M1 chip and Apple can't guarantee if my HP Envy 4520 will be compatible with (and work!) with this the new Mac. Anyone any experience of this issue please?

You may install and use the HP Smart app with no issues to print and scan from a Mac with a M1 chip:
