Hi @Drnievesofi,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e is locked with a username/password and factory reset is disabled, try these steps.

Use Default Admin Credentials

  • Try admin as the username and leave the password blank.
  • If that doesn’t work, try the WiFi Direct password (found on the printer label) as the admin password.

Reset via Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  1. Find the printer’s IP Address:
    • On the printer's control panel, go to Wireless or Network Settings to see the IP.
  2. Enter the IP Address in a web browser on your computer.
  3. Go to Settings > Security > Administrator Settings.
  4. If you can access it, reset the password or restore settings.

Reset Printer via Service Menu (Semi-Full Reset)

If you can’t access the menu due to the password lock:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold Wi-Fi and Cancel (X) buttons.
  3. While holding them, turn the printer on.
  4. Continue holding until the HP logo appears.
  5. This should perform a semi-full reset, which clears credentials.

Perform an NVRAM Reset (For Locked Admin Mode)

If a semi-full reset doesn’t work:

  1. Unplug the printer.
  2. Press and hold Back (↩) and Power buttons simultaneously.
  3. While holding, plug the printer back in.
  4. Keep holding for 20 seconds, then release.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
