I'm sorry for opening a topic like this, which I've seen repeated all the over place here.
Basically, I've messed up my printer. I set up the admin password a few days ago (the printer is new) but now I don't remember it, and I can just print stuff, I can't scan (which is what I need now). Everything that I tried to do via software usually needs the admin password, which I don't remember.
Despite this topic is repeated in the community, apparently the solution for this is sent via a private message from HP Support staff.
So yeah, basically I need help resetting my printer to factory settings (so I can get rid of the admin password).
Please, help!

@nicepawn, Welcome to HP Support Community!
The only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Hope this helps!
