I would like to have my printer print characters on the screen that are fed through the use of a table that describes the printer.  I am look for the things like <esc>[ and then some additional characters.  How can I make this work?

I have some more information.  It appears that maybe the only thing that is causing problems is that the printer is reading and activating the <ESC> character and throwing all of the other characters away.  I removed the 027 ascii code from the string and got most of the results that I wanted.  (example: [16;3;0;;;;;;1;1} [3t 258-00 [0t).   The 258-00 is an order number, the rest is used by a forms software to build a barcode of that order number.  If I leave the 027 <ESC> character in the output stream it crashes the output to the printer
