HP OfficeJet 6962 - The feature is locked is locked by the person who first installed it.

 

Ever since I got new Router/ISP equipment,  I can't connect my HP OfficeJet 6962 Printer back, Everything is grayed out!

 

Somebody, please help as this has plagued me for a very long time now.  Can somebody possibly email me the fix>

Welcome to the HP Support Community

 

Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

We need to perform a semi-full reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hi, if somebody could please send me a private message for the exact fix for my OfficeJet All-In-One 6962.

 

I have not been able to print for almost 3 months because when we got a new Router/Modem, it seemed to lock our printer as well and we have not been able to print since or reset the printer into factory settings.

 

If somebody could please help,  thanks very much,

@ELOHI_NR - Thank you so much for your help! ELOHI_NR - Finally, I was able to do a semi-reset and then turn off my prtinter, and turn it back on to have all the settings back to factory so I could finally connect my Printer to my new Wireless Network, as well as use other features.

Hi  I'm going crazy trying to get help with this issue can't restore or anything for 5 months  say's  my ho office jet  8702 has been locked . says   This features have been locked by the person that set up the printer.  Can you please help me.  Thank you

Could someone send me specific reset instructions for my OfficeJet6962 please?

It will not accept updates and believe it is locked.
