Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Linux
Trying full install of Pop!_OS and have been successful except for installation and use of my HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 printer. I am using an installation of HPLIP. When I try to find the HP on the network, it does not show up. I have found the HP database for this printer, and I use the PPD file for the 8720 as a CUPS printer. All seems well, but nothing prints, including the Test Page. I keep wondering if the printer network ports are blocked somehow, but I can't find any sign of that. I am asking the community how to approach and fix this problem. I am not a noob but I am no linux guru either.
