HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Printer - H711n
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I have a HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Printer - H711n. This printer is wireless, and I originally set it up 4 years ago on my Mac OS and it worked fine. I didn't need the printer for the past few years, but now I need the printer again. I have the same Mac OS laptop as before- it is a MacBook Pro, running on the 10.14 Mojave Update. I reset the network settings, and I was able to print from my computer using a USB cable; the printer displayed that it was online, the blue light was on on the touch panel, and the wireless network test results that I printed from the computer showed that everything was ONLINE. But the computer registered that it was OFFLINE every time I went in to check. I also tried setting it up with different laptops, and devices, nothing worked. I decided to go on a goose chase this morning with my laptop to get this printer to print wirelessly. The first thing I did was restart the computer and my printer. That did not do anything to help the issue. Then I restored the printer back to "factory settings," which I read might help. Still nothing. I got the printer back up on the network, still no luck. I then went in to the printer and scanner settings to reset the printer system. That was a big mistake. Obviously all the printers that I have on my computer were wiped from my system including this one. I tried to bring this printer back to the system. I had to manually put in the IP address, but it still never showed up. I downloaded the 'HP easy start', and though it downloaded, the sytem never registered my computer, which I saw on the website can happen. So I tried  going back to the HP customer support to download one meant for my updated system; Mac OS 10.14, and it woudn't download. I tried the Mac OS 10.13 and 10.12 'HP easy start' just in case, and that had the same issue. I don't have a VPN, or anything that could prevent this from downloading. It just didn't. In fact it's registering that it's still downloading in the hardrive even though the downloading on the computer says it has already completed the download. I went back to the original HP easy start and tried using a USB cable even though the download said that I should not plug the computer into the printer. It registered the printer, but for the past hour it's been coming up with pop ups about every 5 seconds on the "Connect" page of the intsallation, where I'm "joining my printer" to the registered network that my computer is also on. The pop ups say to "Unplug your device from USB," which I did an hour ago. It's also still saying it's verifying the device settingI would like to have this printer print wirelessly from my computer like it was intended, but at this point I'll settle for it to be able to print at all from my computer or any device.  I really appreciate the help and advice, thank you.
