Hi @lorexxx,
Is your printer the Photosmart P1115? If so, what I found is that it is not supported and there are no additional driver options. I used the following document to find this information, you might be interested in taking a look: HP Printers - Windows 10 Compatible Printers.
I suggest calling in to tech support as we might be able to offer you a discount on a newer model. What you can do, is use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear.

Well that's a fine kettle of fish. No wonder I can't get my HP Photosmart printer to connect to my brand new HP Pavillion 510-p030 computer. Good thing I can take it back and just keep using my older computer that would work with my printer. Thanks for the heads up....gonna save me $700.

I got around the HP printer Photosmart 1115 driver problem for Windows 10 by doing the following.
1) Download and install HP setup_full_5590_20_0_0_002 driver set. When the printer tries to make a connection to the computer, check the box giving you the option to do this later. Finish and Restart Windows. This lets you install the USB connection without looking for the 5590 printer.
2) Now download and install HP Photosmart K510 Printer 64 bit Driver. If you get the Windows 10 Universal install box, select a manual install. Find the K510 driver under HP and finish the install. You should be good to go with many of the original features.
