Wow, just freshly installed the HP printer driver (using "add printer" in windows, over wireless) and it is SO broken.

  1. The font is in an alphabet I've never seen before
  2. all the drop down menus are blank
  3. Clicking any of the unlabelled Printing Shortcuts briefly flashes then jumps back to the previously selected shortcut
  4. there's some text that just says "STATIC TEXT"
  5. and...there's a check box labelled "check box", **bleep** guys 😂

Did they not finish making this driver and just release it anyway? 🤔

I tried the virtual assistant but it didn't understand the problem, it did get me to uninstall, reinstall, restart, etc, didn't help at all.

I also tried manually downloading drivers from the site but the only two listed downloads are both...not printer drivers. I tried them both anyway, they were also a waste of time.

In short, nothing seems to work, the printer is unusable, and the "virtual support assistant" is comically bad.

Does anyone have any ideas for how to fix this? Apart from the obvious option of throwing the printer away and trying a different brand?

Thanks!
