I downloaded the HP Printer Assistant program on my computer in order to scan documents into a PDF that can be saved on my computer. Halfway through the process, the scan dialog box became unresponsive and I was forced to close out of it. When I attempted to re-open the scan dialog box, no new windows were opening and nothing was popping up indicating an error; the scan dialog box will simply just not open anymore.
I attempted to uninstall and re-install the program; however, this did not fix the issue. The scan dialog box will still not open up.
I am unable to scan directly from the HP Deskjet 2652 as there is there button to do so (from my knowledge). Without being able to open this scan dialog box, I am unable to complete my document scanning.
My computer is connected wirelessly to the internet. I have my printer direcly plugged into my computer USB port.
Any help is much appreciated!
Cheers

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.
Can you try this standalone scan software:
HP Scan Extended
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"
For more scanning tips, click here.
Hope that helps!
