HP Printing software corrupted or missing from new MAC Mini running Mohave 10.14.6 OS. Help!

I too began experiencing printer failure on Oct. 23 using an HP C4480 printer with MacOS 10.14.  I downloaded a new driver from HP but it did not fix the problem.  I can neither print nor scan. Can HP please solve this widespread problem soon!

That solution did not work for me, Air print is not an option on my computer.  Any other ideas?

Same problem started on Oct 23 on HP OfficeJet 4315 All-in-One connected to Late 2012 iMac running 10.15.7. Tried reinstalling drivers several times and ended up here. From the replies, it sounds like returning to older OS like 10.14 won't fix the problem.

I'm using the HP deskjet ink advantage 2010 and MacOS catalina, this happened before updating it; I updated it thinking maybe my laptop's software is not up to date. I don't know if my printer is too old but I tried contacting HP and got a reply to contact point of purchase. Buying another printer is not really an option for me, my printer is still in good condition despite its age.
