I have requirement where I need to do UI automation for Printer Application where our application will be installing on HP Printer. The automated test case should be running even on pipeline. For that we started exploring the simulator setup.

I have tried two simulators available on the HP Developer site.
1. HP OXPD Simulator .NET/Java (No VM) - Downloads | hp's Developer Portal
2. HP OXPD2 Simulator (VM Setup) - HPExtSim_6.23.0.1221_202403180958.ova | hp's Developer Portal

In first simulator, I am unable to get the IP address. It is taking my local machine IP address where it is running. I am unable to access the EWS page for this simulator.
In second simulator, I have given an OVA file which can be opened in a virtual box machine. There is some Large Display simulator and when I try to run it. It gives the error like:
{Oct  4 03:32:55 simx86 daemon.err dhcpcd[1489]: eth0: dhcp_dump: No such file or directory.
Timeout: failed to retrieve IP address after 300 seconds.}
I want to perform some actions as a root user but the I am unable to find the root user password anywhere.

My question is which simulator is the right one for UI automation in HP Printer?
If I need to install specific application on simulator, I did not get any specific steps or documentation. Can anyone share the required information for the same.
