HP LaserJet MFP M234dwe
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When printing using the HP Smart App and my HP LaserJet MFP M234dwe printer, I am unable to scale the page size.
I would love to be able to print directly from Adobe, or Chrome or Word, as they have this option (and a SLEW of others) however, this app blocks me from doing so, forcing me to only print through the app.

A. How do you update the page scaling?

Note: I do not want to have to create custom page sizes for multiple print jobs (this would be a logistical nightmare!!)

B. If page scaling is unavailable, how can I override the forced use of the HP Smart App? You know, like a regular printer?

C. Where can I find a full driver for Windows 10 64-Bit, that does not include the HP Smart App requirement?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

To get the answer to this question, HP smart app has limited features. However, let's Install a full-feature printer driver, then open the document and print.

  • Note: Do not use HP smart app.

Here is the link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-laserjet-mfp-m232e-m237e-printer-serie... to download the HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
