Envy 6032 All in One Printer
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I've installer the printer on my computer, but can't access any functions but print as I can't get the Smart app to open on my desktop.  When I click on the app it just hangs there until I force it to quit.

I've added my new HP printer ENVY 6032 to my Mac, but I can't get the download HP Smart App to open on my computer. 

When I try to open it- it just hangs there-  "application not responding" until I force it to quit.

 

The Smart App opens just fine on my iPhone- but it is very awkward to have to use the app on my phone to control the printer- as I do most of my work on the desktop.

 

Would appreciate any help you may have.

 

Have already removed the smart app from the Mac a couple of times and reinstalled- no change.

Do you have any anti-virus program installed on your MAC that could block the app?

 

Check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

 

Try installing the HP Smart app from the App store.

 

If the issue persists, you may use the HP Utility instead of the HP Smart app to access other features of the printer.
