Hello
Have a lot of issues with scanner not connecting, try to update and sometimes success, mostly not.
Firmware updater spins and doesn't play ball.
HP Utility I'm guessing is not compatible with Mac Os Cantalina,
I've never seen any info to say that HP Smart replaces Utility?
HP Smart downloaded to iMac desktop, opens, but then hangs on an error message ; open browser window to connect - or something very similar
I've tried different browsers but same result.
Any fixes out there?

AND
I have now been able to get Smart working, so thank you, case closed
I don't know how, the browser page that was not appearing - as suggested by dialogue box within Smart -
When I closed all but Safari, HP website did appear but not the connecting to Smart page.
Then, next time the Smart page did appear in my chosen browser - Brave - and am able to scan and so far again and again.
Which was another issue, previously Scanning would work, then for no reason not then work, then not etc etc.
So hopefully Smart is more stable for the future.
Finally.... still an issue....can't update Firmware
