Hello.
I have bought a new HP laptop (HP Pavilion 15-eg0025no). I also have a HP laser printer and scanner. I want to scan using the app called HP Smart. But HP Smart says that scanning isn't available. When I run HP Easy Start, it finds no problems with scanning. But HP Easy Start doesn't use HP Smart when testing. It uses an app called HP Scan. But there are fewer opportunities in HP Scan, so I don't want to use that for scanning.
I have tried to reinstall both the printer and HP Smart, but the problem is still there.
Any suggestions?
Could I for example try to delete the HP Scan app before I reinstall the printer? But if I need it back, then I don't know where to find it.

Hi,
Generally, what options are missing from HP Scan? generally, the HP Scan program provide much more capabilities than the HP Smart app. I would say that HP Scan provide much more features that HP Smart so if you miss any option please clarify what you are looking for, I'm quite sure this could also be achieved with the HP Scan software.
On a general matter, the HP smart app does not support an M28w printer on a PC:
Whenever a printer is supported by the HP Smart app the option would be listed in the support page, such as below example for another printer model, any such compatibility is not available for a M28w printer..

Hey. I previously used the HP Smart app on the same printer from another computer, and it worked good.
What I miss from HP Scan is ton scan several pages in to the same document. I couldn't find any options to do that. In HP Smart it is very easy.

Hey @Oistein ,
From within the HP Scan program select Save as PDF and make sure the scan resolution is set to 300ppi or lower, then press scan.
Below the scan preview click the plus sign to scan additional pages, once you are done click the Save button to complete the scan job.
