I have an Envy Pro 6452 AIO printer and I have the drivers and HP Smart on all 3 computers. But only one is having the issue and it is the only one using a standard HDD. The HP Smart is using all resources upon startup and if there is an internet issue, it is a wifi computer, it will lock me up for hours. I have tried the standard method of uninstalling it by going through the Apps & Features but it is not listed there.
- I have to do a computer wide search 'hp smart' just to find it.
- I have also tried right-clicking it in the start menu and clicking 'uninstall', all it says is 'uninstalling app' but here I am almost a year since I first tried and it is still on the computer.
- Because the printer was out of warranty by the time I wanted to uninstall HP Smart from this computer HP will not talk to me about it and directs me here...I can't even get past the virtual assistant or the automated phone system because the printer isn't in warranty anymore!
I've tried everything I can short of a factory reset on the computer.
My pc is a cyperpower pc fangbook running win10 64 bit. Everything is kept up-to-date and aside from this hp smart problem the computer runs perfectly.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help.
Did you try contacting Microsoft about it since the other 2 Computers are printing fine?
The HP Smart is having a conflict with the Computer.
Let me know if this helps.

Let me be clear, the issue is HP Smart not any of the computers so I will not be contacting Microsoft. The other computers, as stated, do not use HDD so they are not impacted by the resource pull. I am only trying to remove HP Smart from this computer.

So your grand design of this being escalated for almost 2 weeks before I get a message from your team at HP but because I didn't reply within a few days they are closing the case. That seems very inappropriate...
