ok but you can choose. HP has exposed millions of users to an unsolvable situation without notice. I would consider it correct if they said, either at your own risk you would continue as you used to or a less comfortable solution through applications from the Microsoft store or buy a new device. BUT this way, millions of printers will be thrown away. I do not believe that HP will produce a new solution center without Adobe flash, they need to sell new models. I accept the "adobe flash" risk in IE11, which I don't use in any way. Installation for each browser is separate. I don't have other versions of AF, and I have AF disabled in Chrome & Firefox and I don't already have it installed.

I understand your Deskjet F4580 was no longer being seen my your computer and the HP Solution Center indicates the installation is incomplete.
Running the Print and Scan Doctor might help. The HP Print and Scan Doctor is a free utility (tool) that helps to quickly resolve common printing, scanning, and connectivity issues including but not limited to:
- Connectivity:
USB: Verifies that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product is working correctly.
Network: Verifies that the network connection between your computer and your network is working correctly.
- Device Status Test: Checks for device errors such as out of paper, paper jams, carriage stalls, and paper feed issues, and then provides instructions for fixing the error.
- Driver Check: Checks for missing or corrupt driver files.
- Device Manager: Checks for problems in Device Manager that would prevent printing.
- Device Online: Checks if the product has been paused or set to offline, and then sets the status back to online if necessary.
- Print Queue: Checks for and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a log of print jobs waiting to print).
- Port Match: Checks the port settings for the HP product.
- Device Conflicts: Checks for conflicts with other drivers, such as other printer brands.
- Ink Issues: Checks the cartridges and ink levels for issues that affect print quality.
- Print Settings: Checks and adjusts the print quality settings.
- Test Print: Prints a test page for print quality evaluation, and provides options for cleaning and aligning the printhead if necessary.
- Scan Tests: Checks the scan mechanism, drivers, and registry entries.

Rykm, the supposed security issue is a red herring, because confining its use to HP Solution Center effectively sandboxes it where its bugs can do no harm. The security issues with Flash Player are from malicious flash programs, and HP Solution Center is not a malicious program. There really is no good reason to avoid the use of Flash Player within HP Solution Center, if we can somehow get it to run.
As it stands, my OfficeJet 6500 is crippled. It still prints, and it has rudimentary scan capability via "HP Scan and Capture," but it can no longer create OCR'd PDF documents, which is a capability that I used heavily.

Dave_Burton, you're assuming that it can be absolutely sandboxed. I don't have confidence in that. I don't think Adobe does either, otherwise they'd continue to support it in at least a limited fashion.
I sympathize with you regarding the detriments. Pick your poison, I guess.

THANKS, this solved the problem for me. I have a Deskjet F4500 and am running Windows 10 Home 64-bit. I use the scanner to scan my artwork and the alternative scanning apps HP offered do not have the advanced settings I need, and you legit just spared me from having to buy a new printer.

- go to Control Panel > Clock and Region
- then Click on Date and Time.
- then click on Change date and time.
- Then in the Date section (Calendar) I made the date 11/01/2020
- Then Click OK.
- Then I started HP Solution Center.
I managed to start HP Solution Center and scanned a document fine.
Then I noticed the time was automatically adjusted to the correct time after I finished !
I think we need to adjust the Date again to the correct Date if the system did not adjust it.
But I will need to do this every time I want to scan a document.
